The Swanage Skatepark Community Project year in review...

What began with showing up to a meeting about Swanage Skatepark nearly two years ago turned into a much bigger commitment than we could have ever imagined! We know this project has the support of our community, we’re deeply grateful to everyone who has contributed to our fundraising success this year!

In a world defined by capitalism, individualism, and extraction, it’s challenging to bring a regenerative, reciprocal, and community mindset to all the situations we’ve found ourselves in. However, this year has proven that it is possible—and deeply rewarding.

We’ve learned that building community means showing up even when it’s not always convenient. It means nurturing relationships, learning to trust new people, and collaborating with those we may not have worked with before. These efforts are fundamental to the success of our project. Time and again, we’ve been reminded that as residents of Swanage, we are all interdependent—and that interdependence is a source of strength.

This is our first year as a charity, we’re feeling inspired by the progress we’ve made and energised by the possibilities still to come. Namely, building a first stage of new ramps in Swanage Skatepark by Autumn 2025.

Thank you for being part of this journey - we couldn’t do it without you!
